I finally stocked my fridge and drawers with pantry items. I don’ t even remember when he last time I went grocery shopping. I think I heard crickets chirping (lo). My budget was under $200 to get everything including self-care, and I did it. My final total was $190. My mom also put dog bones in my basket so really, I was under $180. I bought so many fresh vegetables such as orange cherry tomatoes, zucchini, squash, butternut squash, onions, frozen kale, frozen okra, and cilantro. I needed vegetables for vegetable alfredo. I am going to be cooking some lentil soup and lentil gumbo which I am excited to try. I bought lentils, beans for chili, quinoa, and brown rice.

When grocery shopping, the best thing to do is to make a list. A list helps you not stay in the store for hours. I made a long list and got everything I need. I prefer Kroger over Walmart because they never run out of anything. They also have so many deals. Buy one get one free bread is my favorite. I even got a thick cut of salmon for $6. This shopping trip was a success.
